Impact damage is sudden, violent, and uncompromising. Whether caused by a car striking a façade, a tree collapsing onto a roof, or a crane load hitting a structure, the result is often a complex combination of structural compromise, façade failure, and safety hazards.
At Atomic Projects, our role is not just to restore — but to engineer the building back stronger than before. We treat impact events as an opportunity to eliminate latent defects, bring non-compliant elements up to code, and create a repair that withstands more than the original design anticipated.
Impact events are high-stakes: safety, compliance, and structural integrity must be restored immediately. At Atomic Projects, we see every impact repair as a reset point — an opportunity to remove old weaknesses, upgrade materials, and hand back a building that is more resilient than the one that stood before the damage.
We handle all forms of physical impact damage to buildings — vehicle collisions with facades or structural elements, crane or machinery strikes, falling trees, debris impacts from adjacent construction, and damage from landslips or ground movement. If a building has been structurally compromised by a sudden physical event, we can assess and restore it.
Our emergency response teams are available 24/7. For urgent structural threats, we typically mobilise within hours to make the site safe, install temporary propping, and secure the building envelope. See our Emergency Make-Safe Services for more detail.
Yes. All structural repairs are designed and certified by qualified structural engineers. We engage engineers early in the assessment phase to ensure remedial designs restore or exceed the original load capacity, and we provide full certification documentation at project handover.
We go to considerable effort to match existing finishes — including brickwork colour and bond patterns, render profiles, cladding types, and paint colours. Where an exact match is not possible (for example, with discontinued materials), we present alternatives and get approval before proceeding.
Yes. We prepare detailed damage assessments, scopes of work, and costings in a format that loss adjusters can process efficiently. We also provide progress documentation, variation reports, and final compliance packs to support claim settlement. See our Insurance Scope Preparation & Costing service.
